AAArrrghhhh...i HATE G.A.S.!!!!!

of course i do nothing to stop it.....lol!

stopped in at my local shop with my wife last night and i saw at least 6 guitars that i absolutely LOVED!!!! not to mention my dream Bass Rig!!!

the two that really stood out was a used USA black fat strat loaded with duncans and a great fret job...(neck was butter!)

next was my first real experience and super close inspection of a HAMER..........wow....amazing

Hamer USA studio with the most beautiful natural flame top...this thing was in a class of it's own and played like a dream...a really sweet guitar!

my wife has also taken a sudden interest in guitars and she was loving the Taylors and Takamines...she wants me to start teaching her!

anyways...we spent over an hour in there together looking and playing all sorts of guitars...what a great way to spend an evening together...!

but..........the GAS........it hurts!!! LOL!!!

i did pick it up...that was my first mistake...well second, the first was going in the store with no money...LOL!!!

i can't decide whether to get a guitar or new bass rig for next big buy...?!?!?!? :smack: :yell:

LOL...that's just it...right now i'm playing acoustic guitar...but with the likely addition to my wife's nephew who's moving up here from alabama this weekend...who know's what i'll be playing...his a much better guitar player than me...?

that Hamer sure was incredible...

but a new bass rig would be awesome too... :yell:

It's been my experience that going to the guitar store with no money is often a blessing in disguise. When I go with money, general rule is that I buy something. I picked up my LP Studio and my RI Tele on impulse, which could have been prevented by leaving the plastic at home.

I know where you're at though, Hoss. I've had GAS as big as anyone this summer. Summer's not yet over, and neither is the GAS I fear.

i think i have a pretty good idea of what i'll be doing...since i'm the only one of us who even has a bass...lol...it depends on what instrument Clint (my wife's nephew) wants to play...and whether Jay (my wife's brother) thinks he will actually have time to play drums...Clint is a better drummer anyways, but if he wants to play guitar...that's cool too...we can either have three guitars or two guitars and a bass...it really doesn't matter to me either way...i just wanna do it!!!!!!

and eventually one of these...to go along with my USA P-bass...

I would tell you to go with the bass rig, but when you showed the photographs of that G&K, i'd say go with the Hamer instead!

Sugar sweetness. I love Fat Strats (my favorite guitars, actually) and all my guitars are black. I want a USA model BADLY.

Your GAS is spreading! Rather than stem the disease, you just spread it around!

When I go to the guitar store it has to be during lunch where I can't buy something, or with my wife who will prevent me from buying something. Otherwise I have to go with my credit cards locked in a safe somewhere and I can't know the combo and all my ATM PIN numbers must be changed! I'm not safe! :laugh2:

always having a piece of gear in my mind as my "definite" next purchase (which changes like 2 or 3 times a day...LOL!) keeps me going..ya know...?!

yeah...i know i should just practice more with the stuff i have...but geeeez...why do they all have to be so purrrrrddddyyyy...?????? LOL!!!!!

i'm due a new bass rig though...and that head and 4x10 cab should keep me versatile...and then i can add another cab for the bigger gigs, plus keep one at home for practice and one at church for playing/practice...then all i have to lug around is my head and guitar...(good idea huh...i'm smarter than the average bear boo-boo!!! LOL!!!)
