Anyone ever try it out? I love it with greenbacks and gonna be getting one soon, but just curious how it'd sound through a quad of v30s

I also ask cause I saw a band with one of these
set up along with a dsl through an orange quadbox, and the sounds was everything Ive been looking for.

The V30 can be overbearingly bright in a small open back cab. AC30s aren't really known for being bassy amps . . . putting 2 and 2 together, my money would be on this combination not working too well. If you're plugging it into a closed back cab though that's a whole different story.

While V30 are influenced (very loosely) on Blue Alnicos I dont think they sound very sim,ilar and the upper mid spike doesnt compliment the AC30s tones

I've actually never tried nor heard the classic lead 80 using it for the style of music id be playing. Very interested though

. . . but when i think about naturally "warm" amps, Marshall, Laney & VOX is deff not the 1st ones to come to mind !
To me anyways.
When you say Vox, i think BRITE tones, by default.
