The customer wants to know the age & value of this Epiphone Ace Frehley sig LP, SN I 00062778 before I do the electronics repairs.

Ace Frehley LP

That is from June of 2000. Made in Korea.
Just a guess, but it probably is worth a few hundred dollars. 3-500 or so.

I’d say that if it needs repairs there no sense in not doing them. There’s no value to be lost by replacing original components etc, if that is what the customer is concerned about.

Re: Ace Frehley LP

Sounds to me like it shouldn’t be your responsibility. Tell the customer to get off their lazy ass, open their favorite Internet browser, and do a little research!

Lol

It literally took me 30 seconds to find that info.

Buying an Epi is like throwing your $$$ in the trash.

A $2K epi. Thats never happening.
What type of buyer is dumb enough to buy that ?

Why all the Epi hate? Seems to me that they make some damned fine instruments... and not just “for the money.” Did one do something mean to you at some point in your life, leaving you scarred and bitter?

I have an 2006 Epiphone Les Paul Standard that I love with a passion. It's a great playing axe for sure.:)

I'll buy an Epi LP when they pry this Gibson from my cold dead hands ...

Re: Ace Frehley LP

Go big or go home. Clownburst with clown face = trash.

Any quote you give will bring pain if they find one worth more or less. Wire it up to play and move on.

Re: Ace Frehley LP

OP,

tell your customer that it's worth 8k and he needs to take out an insurance policy or add it to his home insurance policy, then explain your special bench rate that is 4x times normal for "specialty items" due to liability -then "accidentally" destroy the cheap LP on the bench, and it's a win win!

actually don't do that. bad people do that ****. :lmao:
