Re: Acoustic/Electric Hybrids?
Only reason I sold them off was I play almost exclusively in Churches doing Worship stuff and with the sounds guys i was dealing with could never get a house / amp mix where I could really use the system in my monitors. Now with in ears I have control of that mix so will at some point buy another Carvin with the acoustic bridge.
Agreed and this is why I recommended the Carvins as the on board electronics for the acoustic side are the best I have tried. I ran the electric side through a real tube amp and the acoustic side through a Baggs Paracoustic into the house and it KILLED with both the DC 400 ad the AE 185. Those have a blend control that lets you dial in both on the fly that really works well. Nothing else I have tried is even close.I have a Brian Moore chambered electric w/ RMC piezos and synth output. The piezos really need some EQ, compression, & reverb to sound their best- as well as going into a full range amp (not a guitar amp).
