acoustic recording text turned song- feedback appreciated!

Re: acoustic recording text turned song- feedback appreciated!

Out of curiosity why did you buy it if you don't like it?

It sounds cool, the tone of it works really well for the single notes. Maybe lighten up your attack or use a lighter plectrum for the strummed bits - which had a slightly thumpy feel to them at the 1 minute or so mark onwards.

Overall I liked the piece and playing was good. As a suggestion maybe just take a tiny bit of volume out of the left speaker rhythm guitar at the end as I think it overpowers everything else ever so slightly.

Just realized my topic title has a typo. It should be "test" not ''text."

I bought it cuz it's cheap and recordable. Funny... I didn't use a pick for the strumming. Should I? Fingers gave a mellower sound.

I agree about the end... like 2db too loud

Well I just felt the attack was a bit heavy at some points when it could've been lighter and more even sounding.

I really like the sound of the dunlop .38 nylon picks for strumming, though you can go heavier if you want.. there's a .6something that's cool too I think, works well for picked notes as well, but generally I find thin-ish nylon picks work quite well on acoustics. It all depends what tone you're going for really, there's no rule saying you should use a pick at all.

Cool, thanks- I'll keep that in mind next time. I was probably just strumming unevenly. Bet I can fix it with a multi-comp :P
