Without a doubt Elixir Polywebs are by far my favorite! They cost a bit but, they last a long time, feel, and sound great!!!!

+1. They have an amazingly smooth sound to them...... :)

Re: Acoustic Strings Recommendations

EXP Phosphor Bronzes work well on my acoustic. I tried Elixirs and immediately removed them. They just didnt work for my guitar. I have used Elixirs on my old cheap Alvarez and it made that guitar sound decent, but on my Baruke nothing has compared to the EXPs.

+1 on Elixirs - Nanowebs

but NOT the new bronze-phosphor type :banned:

They last a long time and produce good tone to my ears.

+100000 on the elixers the only strings I use on both electrics and acustics ....iv converted all my freinds too....that has to say something
even though they are more exspensive...but its worth the feel and tone.

Re: Acoustic Strings Recommendations

My Alvarez Fusion came stock with nanoweb elixirs which I stuck with up until just recently cause I wanted to try some other stuff out and ended up getting martin sp phosphor bronze strings(at the time they were like $4 a set as opposed to elixirs being like 12 or 13) and at that point i question if roughly 3 sets of the martins would outlast one set of elixirs which for my light accoustical playing seems to have worked out. although now I see those strings are up to almost $5 a set so i'll be going back to elixirs or to something else.
