Acoustic Xciter- oh no!!!

Did a gig this weekend with this very cool Aphex Acoustic Xciter (it adds low and high harmonics to the guitar signal), which I love...
I go to do some practicing and it passes thru sound when off, not when on. This is with a new battery or AC power. Grrrr. Red light comes on nice and bright too. Double grrr.

I got the same problem with my guitar xciter. W/ mine all I gotta do is turn it on and off a few times and it'll usually kick in.

Really? There's gotta be something going on here...I will try this, but I hope there is a more 'consistant' fix

that is great to know, Les...I might need it if I can't resolve this, or it might be nice for a backup- gimme an idea of how much you want.

I contacted the company, first by email, no response. I called, and talked to someone who was very nice and asked me to send s/n info by email, which I did...no response. Maybe it is the holiday, I don't know.
