I'm replacing my emgs with blackouts and I understand that there's a quick connect system that allows you to switch pickups with rewiring or soldering so what(really spell it out for me I'm a retard when it ces to this
stuff) do you do?

Hey KiD,

Loosen all of your strings and get them completely out of the way, or just take them off all together. Unscrew the four pickup ring screws and pull out the pickups carefully just a bit so you can see the wires on the back. The quick connect cable will pull right off, carefully note which side of the plug is up/down so that you attach it the exact same way to the blackout. Don't scratch your guitar on accident, put a cloth of some sort around the pickup cavity when you a doing this. You have to take off the screws/springs that attach the pickup ring to the emg. Careful that those springs do go flying off into the couch cushions or something. Once you've disassemble it is pretty easy to figure out how to assemble. Take your time with those springs when you screw the blackouts into the pickup rings, it can be frustrating. Once everything is back in, don't forget to make some adjustments to the pickup height, the blackout doesn't need to be right up against the strings like emgs do. I don't think it gets more detailed than that but let us know if you have any questions.
