Well I have had my Bass Pod XT a little longer and I am really starting to enjoy it!
I've got my main bass tone almost there.
For this sound I've been going for is a Brendan O'brien/Late Jack Bruce-esq tone.
If you listen to a record O'brien has cut the bass really stands out, but its not real highendy. And the later Jack Bruce tone is super middy and punchy. So I was trying to combine these two with a little of my own mixed in. It is really close to what I want, I will have to listen to it somemore when I get it mixed into some songs. The rough cuts I did showed some promise. I need to take out a little bit of treble... I think if I roll my tone control back it will be there.
I also have some weird effects like Auto Wah and a Synth programed they are fun to play with.
