Agile Stratocaster copy

Agile makes a nice Strat copy but it has a TOM with a fixed stop. The strings don't go through the body. Do you think this would make a big difference in the sound? Will this guitar quack like a Strat with a TOM? It is make from solid Alder with a Maple neck and Rosewood fretboard.
