I was experimenting with preamp tubes, I changed the ECC832 (JJ) in V2 back to the stock Sovtek (?) tube. Shot the gain up a LOT. A lot more harmonics, a lot better distortion. Well, when I put the JJ back in, I the metal clip back on it and it slipped and broke off that little glass tip. Now that tube doesn't work!!!! :yell: It doesn't light up when all the other tubes do. Does that really brake the tube? Why? Also, the OD channel doesn't work anymore. What's up with that?

Re: AH!!! Broke a tube!!!???

Surely, you broke the tube. No vacuum, no sound. That's the way it goes. Don't worry, it is a common thing among guitarists ;)

Re: AH!!! Broke a tube!!!???

What NP said. A tube with broken glass is about as useful as a cracked lightbulb. :(

What they said... just go get a new one and you'll be fine. And be gentle next time. ;)
