I doubt you did that...if you pushed the E pole down it would've come out the other side and pushed the bassplate loose. They're not that easy to move...the polepieces I mean. Yours just must have been made that way from the get go.
The poles on mine are all raised a little. The two E's are raised the least. The A & B are raised a little more. The D & G are raised the most.
Glad you're liking it. I think the Twangbanger, Ant I and II Custom Bridge and of course the SP43 are the among the best Strat bridge replacement pickups I've ever used! In fact, I've never used anything single coil sized that I like better.

The high E pole is lower than the middle poles and I don't see how I could've pushed just that pole down without effecting the higher ones? Oh well..No big deal I Guess? Still a great pickup..
