Where it hits the posts, it definitely looks like a Kahler route that was plugged.

Yeah, it could be a Kahler. But I hadn't seen any pics with any kind of modification to the bridge, so maybe it was done after the guitar's performing life. Obviously, he decided to sell it, so whatever functionality or tones he was trying to get out of it didn't work for him. That was right before he switched to using Strat-style guitars.

I wouldn't jump to that conclusion. There is a lot of stuff Alex uses in the studio he does not find functional for live and vice versa.
