Don't know if you guys have seen this yet if not here it is! I looked all over ESPs site I couldn't find it. Matter of fact I don't see him on the The endorsement list of users. This only makes me wonder if he still has a contract with Jackson in the states or something to that effect. It will be released here though in a matter of time. He probably has to wait for the contract to be over.

I can't wait for this one! It's on my dream list.

BAH!

jackson ripoff.. dont expect to see it being sold in the us, as far as i know, jackson holds the rights for the rhoads shape and for the sharkfin&reverse sharkfin inlays and i dont remember seeing them selling those rights to ESP

ah, i saw they got around the sharkfin issue.. cleverly done. i quite like those inlays too

He's been using ESP guitars for awhile now. The RV__AL models are not (and will not be) available for distribution/purchase in the USA. He is signed up through ESP Japan. They sell for about $3000-$4000: http://www.espguitars.co.jp/artist/2005/alexi_laiho/index.html

Oh **** I lived the next house over from that house!! Man I was just a 16 to 18 years old when I lived there. Memories....

I used to catch the school bus right there. Started my first band there in Juneau and bought my first Guitar. I remember it was expensive there. Thats cool. I miss the snow.

Re: Alexi Laiho new ESP AXE!

they look cool from up close, but at a distance they just look like a bunch of squiggley lines

Re: Alexi Laiho new ESP AXE!

I'm not that excited about the Laiho guitar... it's nice but it doesn't look like anything special.

i cant find an esp that isnt a rip off

Re: Alexi Laiho new ESP AXE!

It is a great looking guitar but there doesn't seem to be anything about it to justify that kind of price.

Re: Alexi Laiho new ESP AXE!

I don't dig the body style too much...but it's about time that the wild child started to get some notoriety =)

and yes, the Hz-4's are passive...

I had them in a cheaper ESP I had....and I don't have it anymore...I absolutely hated those pickups..lol

And Jacksons are a Charvel ripoff!

Still a nice guitar.
yea, true, but not EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM =/

except for the devil girl.. ESP can keep that one

Re: Alexi Laiho new ESP AXE!

Does anyone know the DC resistance for the bridge on a EMG H-Z 4? They still are pretty hot PUPS right?

Re: Alexi Laiho new ESP AXE!

I had a Charvel RR.....I thought Charvel was a cheap Jackson? Kind of like Epiphone is to Gibson, am I right?

The Charvel RR I had was a strange beast it had a staggered humbucker in the bridge. I remember it wasn't that hot. It had a really nice neck though. It was on sale for like 550 dollars. I remember first picking it up at the store in downtown Juneau, I asked the clerk if i can play it, he was like go for it. So I pick this thing up and sit down on a stool and CLUNK!!! I hit the bottom part of the V! I was so embarrased. I left. My freinds were giving me a hard time.

A year goes by and I see the guitar at the mall there the store was going out of business and they were selling it HALF OFF! 225 Dollars. I remember working at Burger King part time just to pay for it. Anyways I remember right next to it was a Gibson Flying V Black white pick guard, I passed on it because my freind said the Neck through could warp.!!! It was the same price! Big mistake.

A little off topic but oh well.

That guitar I traded in at guitar center for my Line 6 FBV. I still regret it.
