All Taylor electric solid body owners

Due to an issue I am having with my Solid body Classic....... If you play a note on your guitar and then use the 3 or 5 way switch.....Does it make more noise than say a fender switch??? I mean.... Mine is dead quiet when I switch it from bridge to neck if not playing, however if playing, and a signal is going through it..... I really get loud static, scratching, mechanically generated noise.

Anyone else?

Mine was pretty quiet. Check the fuse and check the ground wire. They have a ground wire that runs from the pickguard assembly thru a hole and it goes under the bridge. ( you have to loosen the bridge) Its a well grounded system.. The fuse is attached in the area of the switch and pots and blows in the event of a power surg situation that would normally shock the player..
