Night Train, Blues Jr, Tweaker, or Class 5 for something you can get a lil more volume out of at home. The Jet City 20W has some good gain but not a lot of nice cleans available.
Haze 40 or Hot Rod Deluxe for something that'll sound righteous at stage volume.
The Haze 40's a good one, but needs pedals at low volumes. The night train also needs to be cranked to sound it's best but it's the most responsive and crisp of the lower wattage stuff I've played, and the thick mode through a greenback can get a nice bluesbreaker kinda crunch. Real thick, possibly better than the Haze 40.
I'm a former night train user, a current tweaker user, and my mom owns the haze, so that's my experience.

I'd say that the 100W windsor head isn't too bad, but that windsor studio sounded very one-dimensional to me, and had a real lack of bass response.

Yeah I will do mate, I'm not rushing a decision so I'm researching all viable options
Have seen them but not tried one yet, may be an idea actually....
I went to the shop today, In the end i didn't have enough time to try the amps out as i had to get home swiftly today but for £219 there's this VOX amp thingy, its 50 watts and its a hybrid, but for the money may seem a good option, when i have more time then I will try the amps out.
anyway This does give me time to do more research on prices and sounds etc.

For that budget I'd be looking second hand, although my trusty old ashdown didn't cost me that much and sounds pretty darn good for a chinese made budget tube amp... I should really think about selling the beasty as I can't see me using it ever again.
I'd actually consider a serious offer around the £200 mark if you're interested... and Derby is just up the road, I also have a now redundant Marshall MC212 cab up for grabs as well.

Yeah I will look secondhand, but it's a case of where do i look, because there are some great marshalls, peavey's laneys etc on ebay at rock bottom prices but its local pick up only and its like 200 miles away...
I try Cash Generator and Cash converters (basically like a pawn shop but instead you just sell the shop your goods outright) and sometimes some good kit appears....

I take it transport is a problem, which is a shame as I can recommend electromusic up in doncaster.
They usually have a good selection of second hand gear. They also ship (for a price). You could always give em a call.

first thing you should buy is a Weber 100 watt attenuator and a speaker cable.
Take that to every store with you, and play every amp, at the volume you think you'll actually be playing at. Buy the amp that sounds the best at the volumes you'll be playing at.
Fun fact: A 100 watt attenuator will work fine with a 5 watt amp - it will just operate cooler.

Nother vote for the Tiny Terror.I recorded a whole album on one.Love mine.
Won't do nasty high gain scooped tones.But if you want classic Marshall/Vox'ish tones its a Huge bang for the buck.

i have a weber 100 mass and i typically use it with a 22w amp with zero issues.
