What about an Alnico 8 in the PG? It would kick up the output and keep the EQ pretty close to the Alnico 2......

changes the feel a whole bunch. im an a2 junkie but the a8 is way aggressive to me. might work since it will increase the output a fair amount, tighten the bass and boost pretty much everything.

I too am a big fan of a 9k Pearly Gates

And - An A2P bridge may very well do what you want. That'll make a very balanced tone between the pups, and the A2 mags will play nice together, but definitely less of and more of what you want than the CC. I loved my CC/PG guitar, but it was a particularly beast....awesome at some things, but definitely not for everything.
