Has anyone out there ever tried the Alnico II Pro's for tele out there? I just bought a Lite Ash Tele on Ebay and I understand they come stock with them ;-). Can anyone give me their expiriences with them? How do they compare to a stock Fender tele pickup (bridge/neck)? Thanks for any help!

The A2Pros for Tele are a very nice set. In an ash-bodied Tele, they give the twang you'd expect but with no harshness whatsoever. The neck pickup can a little on the mushy and mellow side; but it's very nice and warm.

I've played the Lite Ash Telecaster, and I own the Lite Ash Stratocaster. I love these pickups! Very nice smooth vintage feel and vibe. Can they play metal? No, not really. The alnico II magnets smooth out the highs very well, and you get a pickup with more mids and warmth than a normal vintage alnico V single coil (i.e. usual fender stock).

Even though I own a Lite Ash Stratocaster, I'd buy a Lite Ash Telecaster if I had the money.
