Great look. I've been jonesing for some Cool Rails in one my Charvels....

Can you still get authentic #2 and #4 Strat tones? That is the clencher for me.

Positions 1,3 and 5 are in series. Positions 2 and 4 still has quack but is noticably darker. I haven't messed with the height of pickups or had any major wiring sorcery done as of yet. The neck has its own tone knob and middle and bridge are being controlled by the second tone knob. Right now I'm just seeing what I like about a pretty basic set up. Haven't played it long but the middle pickup has caught my favor early.

I think if you wired the middle in parallel you would get respectable quack. As I said it was still there just darker. Turning the volume down to day six or seven and you could hear it. With the volume at ten it wasn't very present.

I have Hot rails and love the punch and full fat tone. I however always wanted to take a cool rail for a spin. Can you discribe the tone and difference from what you had before?

I had stock fender singles in there before so there was a drastic difference from what I had before. It's much fatter and fuller but still very clear. It has a more present low end that wasn't there before.

Wow, very cool! You can tweak really great tones out of that if you play with the pickup heights. I bet it sounds as good as it looks.
