Alright, talk to me about the JB and a suitable neck p'up

Re: Alright, talk to me about the JB and a suitable neck p'up

A 59 or a Jazz would be the safest way to go...I'd personally pick the 59 for the great bass response and it's ease to love.

Well, so far everyone's recommended the '59, Jazz, or Full Shred for the neck, but no one has contested the JB for the bridge spot :).

well the full shred sounds really clean in the neck, the cleans are nice and sharp, and under distortion it sounds very clear. I dont know what you would call brittle, but i wouldnt call it that. If you use the neck for alot of lead playing, i would say the full shred is DEFINATELY the one to use.

Hmm, interesting. Anyone with sound clips other than the generic ones here on SD.com? Mainly the Jazz and Full Shred I suppose.

How would the Custom behave in the bridge of this guitar? It's very LP-ish in construction, etc...
