Hi guys,

I've got two HSS Strats and one of them in the bridge has a Duncan 78 that I

really realy love, I'm just looking to another bridge pickup for the other Strat..

I could put another 78 in it but maybe could be interested to put another one,

so wich coud be another interesting A2 Paf style pup to put there?

Both the Strats are Alder body and rosewood fingerboard..

Thx

Custom Custom maybe....

I am going to have to agree on this one from personal experience. I used to have a CC in my Stratocaster (Alder/RW) and it sounded awesome through my old DSL. I wouldn't call it PAFish though.

Assuming you want PAF ish and not "vh" I would recommend the Blues Saraceno model. Really great pickup for bolt on trem guitars. If you want vh then I would go with a PG

Re: Alternative to Duncan 78

The regular PG is A2 and you can have a PG+ which is A5.

I never tried a A5 PG+. The regular one is killer in the right guitar.

It sounds interesting!!

I'll give it a try!!

Thx

I'm going against the grain and saying.........Jazz neck. I had one in my Cleveland super-strat and it sounded fantastic. I liked it better than the 78 actually! It sounds really full and balances well with the vintage styled singles.

Hi,

do you mean a Jazz Neck used in the bridge position?

Re: Alternative to Duncan 78

Yes sir, that's exactly what I mean. I heard long ago that it was Seymour's choice if you wanted a really well balanced strat.

Luke

Uhmmm... interesting!

I saw there's also a bridge version of the Jazz.. do you mean in a Strat the Neck version sounds better?
Thx

it balances better with single coils than the bridge version

Re: Alternative to Duncan 78

I have a Jazz bridge in a Strat too and I think its balances perfectly with my 6-7k singles. I think its a great pickup and very underrated.
