it's a volume/tone pot on top of the other:

the knobs are placed so that one is a wee bit smaller than the other, but they turn like any other tone/volume knob. neat idea. check it out.

(I'm not sure if you can do it with two volumesthough...)

I find I always use more tone than volume, but it just boils down to personal taste like everyone has said before. Those concentric pots look really nice, I wonder can one get them with DPDT as well?

I use a volume knob at the very least. Some of my guitars have the tone control bypassed, but I keep the volume operational. At the very least, it's great for swells.

Oh well that wouldn't work with my knobs....

Well, you'd have to buy new knobs of course. There's the concentric knob to go with the concentric pot. I've considered doing this on any upcoming single volume, single tone guitars I'll be getting because I love using the volume control on both pickups in differant ways (obviously, one volume knob isn't enough).

Well I'm going to use a completely different switching/wiring anyway as you can see in my wiring thread
