Am I on a roll this week or what!

I know I posted tues and weds about the Marshall DSL 100 I scored for $550, but thurs it went back, due to the fact that while playing at home it crapped out on me. Well thurs nite I was surfing Craigslist when I came across someone selling a 5150 head for $395, so I emailed him to inquire about the head, and I got an email with a phone number stating that if I really wanted the head he would drop the price down to $350 so it was worth checking out. So this morning I made the 1hr drive to checkout this amp and and boy did I drive away really please. The 5150 is a 1997 model w/ the original tubes, no blemishes or anything on it, it has never left the guys house and on top of that it hasn't been played in 6yrs. The only downfall was the guy is a chronic smoker so from sitting in the corner of a room + ciggarette smoke= quite a cleaning. But with some elbow grease and cleaning supplies I got her looking eal good, now all I need is to get the ciggarette smell of her. But It's get better, after getting back home I decided to do my local pawn shop diving and look what I found for $150 bucks. So 2 rock steady heads for $500 thats still cheaper than what I shelled out for the DSL 100. I'm loving this rig I got going on! And on top of that I'm about to add 2 more guitars to the rig I just ordered a Bulldog Les paul kit, and I am in the process of building a telecaster body with a maple strat neck, a single humbucker with a Kahler tremolo on it, sorta like a clone to a Charvel San Dimas guitar but to my likings.

Yeah it's alot cleaner than it was now that I've cleaned all of the dust and smudge off of it, but it still stinks like cigarettes. Lol!

Nice roll. Let us if you can get rid off the cigarette smell and please explain how :)

Jason, call Steamatic about putting that amp in their ozone room for a week. It will be odorless when you get it back. That is how they get the smoke smell out of otherwise undamaged uphostery and furnature after a fire.
