hey, im fairley new to messing around with guitar equipment, and am after some advice, at the moment i am running a boss me 30 multi fx through a peavey bandit112. atm i am just messing around with settings.

when it comes to eq, should i be changing it on the amplifier or the pedal?

the amp has an fx loop, but i am just rnning it right out of high gain into the back of the pedal, seems to work well, just looking for tips from anyone knowledgable about guitar and amp tech. im looking for a similiar sound to that of adam jones or tom morello, not to copy just to play some of there songs, any advice is appreciated.:newbie:

i have that amp, and its great...its loud enough to play with a drummer and sounds good at low volumes....i was running it on the clean channel with the following settings;;
high gain input
bass-6
mid -8
high-5
reverb-0
presence-2
t dynamics-60%
volume-5-7

......i was running a blues driver into a boss/fender deluxe reverb pedal into the amp, with a delay in the fx loop...your multi may require some eq adjustments, but those gave me a good clean and a good dirt with those pedals...

....a quick side note about that amp,if you use the fx loop, the reverb switch on the foot pedal becomes an on/off switch for the fx loop...so if you have a few pedals running in the loop ie chorus, reverb, delay..you can turn them all off at once by hitting the reverb switch on the amps footswitch..

Is this the Bandit 112S? If so, the eq is very responsive. Minor tweaks can make significant tonal changes.

I'd probably put the ME in the effects loop and NOT program eq; instead, I'd use the amp eq for most things.

Then again, try both ways and decide what YOUR ears like.

okt hanks guys, cus i just been running it through highgain, so far i do only have the multi, but when finances get a bit better will be looking into indivdual rig. this should help me heaps, it sounds good already, but i want to get it at iis peak, as i might be jammin with a drummer soon. much appreciated

also u mention the amps foot switch??? i dont have one, or do i need to buy seperatly?? and would it be worth buying?

wanting/needing the foot switch is up to you...i got my dirt from pedals with that amp, so i didn't need to switch channels on the fly...i used it for switching a flange and delay in and out of the signal like i explained above..
