Well, I have to say that I can always easily swap out speakers in my new 2x12 cab. I may not be able to use original Greenbacks, but if I remember correctly, Eminence offers clones with higher wattage.
Thanks for all the help and useful pointers so far. One last question: How well does the Shiva take pedals up front? I can only speak from experience with my Peavey head, and it hates pedals. Overdrive/distortion stompboxes always sound brittle, overly bright and lack the punch of the amp's own overdrive. The sound seems distant, hollow, without body. But I know that other amps out there respond well to stompboxes, and I'm hoping the Shiva, due to its excellent clean channel, is one of them.
