Amp decision

Ive been playing guitar for a year and some months now. Ive switched guitars and amps from the fender pack to a 56'goldtop and a crate fxt65. The guitar is sweet, the amp isnt.

Ive been looking to swich amps for quite a while now. Something in the price range of 500-900 (im willing to go to 1,000 but only if its REALLY worth it) For now i only play in my room, but am looking to doing gigs in the future. I play music from blues, to classic hard rock, 80's rock, and some metal(very little, and only old stuff like metallica).

I was looking at the palomino v32, it seemed like a very promising amp, and would be everything id want, but my friend with whom im looking to start a band with already has one, and im thinking we might need more diversity in the equipment and sound.

so please some help. thank you.

EDIT: only looking for TUBE

Re: Amp decision

A Traynor YCV50Blue sounds like your best bet. It's right in your price range, and sounds phenominal. For doing rock, it's one of the best amps for the money, if not one of the better sounding amps period.

Re: Amp decision

Peavey classic 30, 30 watt tube amp. The volume is perfect for practise jams and small gigs. Its tone is very nice once you get above 5, simple controls so doesn't take to long to learn what sounds good and what doesn't. Handles blues, classic rock, rock, heavy rock, grunge and even less extreme metal like maiden and metallica. You can get them in the US for under $600 I think.

Plus 1 to this. I had the classic 50 and it was very nice once you got it cooking. I would recomend a speaker change down the road.
