AMP Gurus, I have two question!

Would a Fender Pro Junior rehoused into a 12" cab with a nice speaker be as loud as a original Fender Blues Junior?

Does the master volume on the Blues jr give more clean headroom than the Pro junior with no master vol?

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't they both 15 watts? Yeah, same basic amp, so that should get you to the original Blues Junior.

The MV will give you more headroom, I believe. You can keep the volume down as to not get much break up, and raise the master to get the cleans you want.

I'll tell ya what sounds completely killer! When I've plugged my stock Blonde Pro Juinor into my V30 Marshall 4x12 slant cab and cranked it up.....Wow!

The PJ is a pretty killer amp as is....Just needs the right EL84s in there and crank it up and it ROCKS! I Love this amp...My daughter now uses it in her bedroom....

Yeah I know they wouldn't sound the same ...

What I'm thinking is that a blues junior can compete on rehearsals with drummers, but I'm a little sceptical about that the pro junior with a 10" can do that!

I still like the simple circuit of the Pro jr. So I'm thinking if using it in a new cab with a larger speaker would get it in the same ballpark as the Blues Jr volume-wise?

I tell ya what man, you can probably answer your own questions...run the pro junior through the speakers in one of your combos..and that should give you a little more info

I would Capo... If I only had a Pro Junior You see. I'm thinking about getting one as soon as I get my AVT100 sold.

But no store around here carries one so I can't try it out right now.
