Amp guys - looking for a small watt ss to plug my Toneport into for practice

Re: Amp guys - looking for a small watt ss to plug my Toneport into for practice

Depending on cost, here, ya know? The little epiphone tube amp is pretty cheap. But, you said SS.

THe little Vox pathfinder is a wonderfully sounding small SS practice amp.

A PA powered monitor would do well with a Line 6 gizmo. what happens though when you get tired of the Line 6? Having a small amp to fall back on makes sense.

I had a pathfinder that thing rocked! Well it doesn't have to be solid state but I was looking at 2 bills or less. I live in a place where the Line6 just makes sense for practice - as far as getting tired of stuff my place is a revolving door when it comes to gear...eBay. :chairfall

I think that little Epiphone tube amp is $139. There are a lot of guys that are putting in mercury magnetics trannies and a handwired board as well. So, if you got one and then wanted to tweak it out in a year or two, you've got a decent little platform to do it.

Okay thanks Scott. I think if someone could make a 5 or 10 watt 1x12 tube amp made just as a back end for POD like devices for recording and practice they could sell a boat load if the price was right.
