Hey guys,
Wondering if you could help with some amp advice... Looking to buy my first ever tube head.
Looking for a warm, bright, slightly dirty/raw tone, mid-oriented, for slightly heavier melodic punk (see Bad Religion, Anti-Flag, NOFX). Lots of chug on palm-muting, not too dark and gainy, but with enough for soloing.
I've been looking at the Marshall DSL and TSL series (so TSL-100 and 60, and the DSL-100 and 50)
Any opinions on these amps?
Any other suggestions?
My price limit is probably around $1000 / £700 tops... Although obviously the lower the better so I can have some extra cash for other stuff.
Btw, if it makes any difference to your advice/suggestions, I play a Fender Mexican Telecaster, fitted with a Seymour Duncan Hot Rails for Tele at the bridge.
