Some of you guys gave me some good suggestions along the way.

Next build a Brownface Deluxe. Looking for something Celtic/Gaelic/Irish that starts with B. Any suggestions?

Re: Amp Name Suggestions

The only one I found that fits for an amp is Binneas, which translates to "musical sweetness" or "melody"

That makes me want to go look at the schematic. The Brown Deluxe didn't carry over the tweed cathode follower feeding the tone stack, did it?

Re: Amp Name Suggestions

After looking at the schematic, it looks like what I expected it to with an almost Blackface setup.

The earlier Tweed Deluxes didn't have a CF, either... I never looked at them, always just assumed they did since the Bassman did (well, ass-u-me, ya know... LOL).

Re: Amp Name Suggestions

the smallers amps used to be pretty different until the bf era then the preamps became pretty similar. the tone stack for the brown deluxe is pretty different than the bf deluxe. less loss, more mids

You're right. Today, with more coffee and less bourbon in me, I ran the list again, and a few more popped out that take that into account. Still, it's easier than some of these to pronounce. :laughing:

Batair or Baltair = strong warrior

Beathach = animal; beast

Beil = to grind

Beolach = red hot part of fire

Buir = to roar or bellow

Buirbe = fiercer, more passionate

Buadhmor = victorious, valorous

and, like PFDarkside above suggested, Brendan = brave

Re: Amp Name Suggestions

Those name lists are how I've come up with all of them except Caitlin and Evan-Rude.

Re: Amp Name Suggestions

I'll exchange one of these brilliant names for your first build :fing2:

Bedlam Brown (crazy brown roughly translated)
The Beltane (since it's April)
Bonnan Bui (a symbolic poem about a drunkard)

That's all I got. I don't have much other knowledge of Celtic, Gaelic or Irish stuff.

Re: Amp Name Suggestions

Too bad it has to start with a B. Wild Thang is a nickname I gave to a raven-haired Irish girl I knew, ha ha.
