Amp Question ?

On my Fender head it has a contour and a pressence control, dose the contour control the scooping/mids and the pressence the lows & hi's ? Iv never owned a amp with these features just a shape control - Crate. Any help would be great, Thanks.

presence is for the highs. the higher you set it the more high end you get

Yes, Presence simply shapes your amp sort of like an equalizer, the lower it goes the more rounded it will sound on the low end, likewise, the higher it is set the more treble heavy the sound will get. There's probably much more to this, but this is really all you need to know. Just keep turning that sonofabitch until you hit the sweet spot.
