i have an original '65 fender super reverb amp. The original body for it has come apart and i was wonderin if it would be a good idea to build a seperate box for just the amp (like a head) and just buy cabinets to hook up to, or should i just build a whole new amp body for the whole thing. any suggestions would help thanks.

depends on if you're worried about resale/collector's value. Personally, I think the building a head idea is a great one and using different cabs...you could even use the original speakers in a 4x10 or a couple of 2x10 cabs....but that's just my opinion
