Amp speaker problems

Hi there,
I have a Laney HCM 120R, a solid state amp thats loud enough for me and a good base for effects. Last week, one of the speakers stopped working, and I am trying to find a cheap replacement so I don't have to pay the repair fee and a sky high parts bill!
So, my question, and forgive me if I'm being dumb. Its a 2 x 12" combo rated at 120 watts. Do I need a speaker that has at least 120watts power, and if so can anyone recommend a cheap replacement that I can get hold of in good old blighty?

Cheers,
Be nice, I'm new here! :duh:

Re: Amp speaker problems

it depends what the other speaker is rated for........ the 2 together should be rated at least 120 watts total........so unless your other speaker is rated for 0 watts heh, then the new one doesnt HAVE to be 120, although that would still work
