Amplitube 3: 5150

Does anyone have experience with the 5150 model in Amplitube 3? I've been experimenting with pairing it with certain cabs, mics, and changing the settings of the overdrive pedal in front of it for quite some time now, and I can't get that super chunky and tight low end like so many 5150 sounds I've heard before. Any suggestions?

Their implementation is probably the worst you'll find.

Check out Revalver or TSE's X50.

Yeah, I kind of figured as much. The other amps I use on it sound great, but I've never gotten a tone I really liked from their 5150 profile. Thanks!

Well I've got decent tone in the same ballpark (or so) by having the ocd model in front with cranked level but no gain with the switch set to HF. Then do the tone tweaking to ur taste don't crank too much gain in the amp. Also try alternate output tubes I liked the 6l6mt which I found to work to my taste

I got revalver 3.5 for $30 and it sounds better than my amplitube 3 Orange amps pack, I try using the amplitube but still am not as satisfied with it as with revalver and my tech 21 oxford and vtbass pedals

no matter what you have to use better impulses (cabinet modeling) than what amplitube and revalver comes with

Revalver makes it a lot easier, and I *really* like the controls on RIR for fine tuning.
