Amps for Bedroom + Small Gigs??

i have a hrd and ive made the box for the fx loop. its not a bedroom amp
Perhaps a cheap used Two Notes load-box, with 3-position attenuator - would get you closer to true bedroom levels.
I agree that my friend’s HRDeville 40W with a Quadraverb on the loop, still needed a little volume to get a nice sound from the speaker.

I love my Sequis Motherload Elemental. With bargain prices now on HR stuff, it would be worth buying a Sequis too and keeping it for life - through successive changes of amps. But you have to get over the speaker’s lo-level inertia.
My Palmers are now 40 years old, and I’ve had the Sequis for 8 years.
I haven’t miked an amp up in 20 years or so, and even then it was under layers of quilts and blankets!

I think what they are discussing is not the volume level
As much as some of the tone loss with lower volume attenuation

Most attenuation removes some of the highs and feel of the amp
That makes it unsatisfactory

But you Are new here and seem to know everything

Carry on

Welcome to the forum BTW

The Sequis Motherload Elemental does not colour the tone through any part of its range, all the way to zero.
Which is why I own one, and recommend it here on this thread, as the OP won’t achieve rewarding bedroom levels without it.
He might outgrow the Hot Rod, but the Sequis will remain I’m sure.
The hard part is getting people to spend money on something that isn’t flavour of the month (or designed by Eddie Van Halen!).

Thanks for the welcome.
Yes, I’m knowledgeable.
Everything I read here is guys helping each other, and being supportive.
If I can add to that then great.
If it conflicts with my hard-earned experiences, then you’ll soon know.
Cheers.
