Get a Twin, then a good Distortion pedal and an EQ pedal for the distortion. Get another EQ pedal or booster/OD if you want a different lead tone. Dial-in your clean tones with the amp, then when you want a dirty sound, stomp on the EQ then distortion, stomp on the other EQ or booster/OD when you solo.

Twin cleans are the best i've tried so far, but though I'm raving about my shredmaster as a great distortion pedal, I can't make it sound right with a Twin. The EQ would get you close.

But yeah, just like some have mentioned, a Twin and Marshall would nail that. So go for the twin + dist + 2x EQ for now, then when you have money in the future, get yourself a marshall. Problem solved

My vote is the Mesa Mark IIb + IIc+
They have gorgeous cleans and brownish gain all the way to saturation.

A Super will overdrive very nicely. Only problem is that it is loud as stink......as in "permanent shift of hearing" loud:laugh2:
