Where's Captain Obvious when you need him? Oh, here he is!

Seriously, though, I HOPE it works out.

If you do get this guitar as a gift, please don't sell it. I would be very offended and pissed off if I gave someone a vintage guitar worth a few grand and they turned around and sold it. Enjoy it for what it is or don't accept it. Since it's already been messed with, I'd feel fine messing with it a little more to get it closer to what you want but if it isn't going to be something you are going to use and keep, don't accept it

Very well said, and I suspect many people will agree with these sentiments (I know I do).

Nathan. Please post a photograph (or several) of the acoustic guitar that appears on your Soundcloud recordings. Of all your current guitars, it is probably the one worth investing any birthday money into. Some form of transducer/mic combination installation would work wonders for gigs and recording.

My, my. This is the second time that that particular photograph has been dredged up. (Rainy Day Thread Posts #63 & 71.)

IMO, there is one significant similarity between the 2015 Les Paul and 2016 Stratocaster birthday gift threads.

Did he ever payoff that Gibson?...or did he ever even put money down on it? lol

Pretty much the same thing lol! I'm from Kentucky, like I got room to talk..

Currently in GA so all of the northers would agree and would probably add anything south of the Mason-Dixon is the same thing ;)

Damn Yankees!

I wondered about the Les Paul myself.. It's not on his "rig tour"..

My observation was that the notional first layaway instalment against the Gibson LP was approximately the same figure that Nathan later turned out to have spent on pawnshop bargain guitars. The Gibson LP was never mentioned again. Draw your own conclusion.

I'm pretty sure the little feller has one oar in the water and he's rowin in circles..

Didn't really link it for the pic. Linked it to show how that Gibson never materialized outside of that picture... just like how I think this strat won't either...

Which is why, in post #68, I asked Nathan for photographs of his parlour acoustic guitar.

Having taken the trouble to listen through Nathan's collected works on Soundcloud, it is in the solo acoustic guitar recordings that he seems to best express himself.
