Beware the gravitational field. There is no way back across the Nathan Brown Event Horizon.

Da juice man from Del Monte, he say, "pics or it hasn't happened."

I'd play my 1971 in a live setting, guitars are made to be played and abused...

In context, I think you missed my point entirely. Which was this ... those 25th Anniversary Strats didn't have much appeal as guitars for playing, they were designed to become collectible items. They would have only been manufactured/ available during the Anniversary year (1979).

But i realise I'm wasting my breath.

Very much looking forward to seeing/ hearing about this much-touted '71. Just one thread will be fine though, thanks.

Nathan's "About Me" states that his birthday is May 18th. Therefore, whichever way this story ends, photographs are not possible before that date. The lad appears adamant that the 1971 Stratocaster will be his birthday gift. Twelve months ago, he was similarly adamant that a Gibson Les Paul would be his.

Depending upon where you are on the planet, the momentous day is between seventeen and thirty five hours away. Humiliation or worldwide superstardom awaits. Possibly both. ;)
