And now, for something completely different.

Re: And now, for something completely different.

Not sure it is completely different but it is pretty catchy nonetheless. Got me tapping my feet as I listen to it. Kinda hypnotic. Got cut off rather suddenly though? Uncompleted work?

PM5K--I like it though.

ROFL! So far on the boards I've posted this on, it's been compared to Powerman 5000, Nine Inch Nails, & Toni Basil. Talk about running the gamut! :chairfall

Re: And now, for something completely different.

Hey Curt it's definetly a perfect Anime tune!Funny and Hard!
And yeah ,Powermann 5000 is the "thing" you do.And you do it well

Re: And now, for something completely different.

I dig it.

And, hey, if Powerman 5000 ever need a guitarist, seems like you'll have no problem finding a job. :chairfall

I am just talking the riff, not the song as a whole. Its one of those things I would notice that just about nobody else would.

Re: And now, for something completely different.

Thanks for the compliments. :) I used my Hellraiser on this one, & used the neck pup (EMG 85). The tone patch is a real nasty, obnoxious high-gain parked wah thing that I like to noodle around with. I was just keeping time with the drums, & I wound up recording it.

Re: And now, for something completely different.

Thanks man! I might try to put some more work into it this weekend, make more of a complete tune out of it than just the 3 riffs. We'll see.

And I've fallen in love with this made-it-as-a-joke tone patch. Really wakes up that neck pickup! Live it sounds too messy to really play rhythm with it, but that doesn't seem to happen with the recording. Going to see how much I can do with it. Who knows, maybe record some of my avante-garde-metal-free-form-shred lead playing over it; that was the original intent, after all! :chairfall

Re: And now, for something completely different.

I dug it. However, it reminded me of "Cars" by Gary Numan...with a splash of Tony Basil. Nice big fat sound man.
