And now for something completely different-

Re: And now for something completely different-

I'm not surprised the pickups may not be stock. Lots of Kramers ended up that way. Good thing is you can still get what came in it stock and slap 'em in there if you want. I'd be tempted to throw a lower output pickup in the middle though.

Neither was I...though for all I know the Full Shred may be original. It's def old. Baseplate discoloration, hex poles gunked up. I just wonder if Duncan was supplying Kramer with standard spaced FS's way back when for these. Maybe on one of the Kramer forums someone would know? or possibly Brett?

Eventually it will get some new pups...or an a8 mag in the full shred and something else in the middle...

I don't recall when trembuckers and f-spaced pickups came out but it very well may be the case that they used standard spaced for it. The one thing that makes be think the FS is not the stock one is the Duncan logo. I don't remember them having the logo and every stock picture I've seen there's no Duncan logo.

I'm curious about what's in the middle since what you say doesn't sound like a Duncan.

Its def NOT a Duncan. It actually really DOES sound great for clean stuff..split or full humbucking. It just gets in the way though..I rolled it way down last night...ahhh...much better...this will be my (effectively) one pup EVH style guitar, LOL

I'd like to keep the guitar stock, but the Full Shred has gotta go...with the ebony board and Floyd its just way too thin/bright/piercing for me. It needs something thick...If the CC had any bass, I'd be all over it. So now I'm thinking a Super 3...or AirZone.
