That guitar actually got a good amount of use. I've seen a few photos of it used on the first tour and the 1980 invasion tour. It was used alot on their second tour. Rumor has it that Ed had a falling out with the guy who made the bumblebee used that as an excuse as to why he didn't like the guitar, like I said that was the rumor.

People started to sell rip off's of the black and yellow guitar which led to law suits including one between Ed and Stryper! I think it also had some problems with tuning.

When it was announced that Ed was going to be doing the hand painted Charvel's in 2004 Dimebag got in touch with Eddy and asked if he could reserve a black and yellow one as that was his favourite. Eddy arranged to meet up with Dimebag and paint the guitar with him at the plant but Dimebag was killed before that could happen. At Dimebag's funeral Ed told the story and ended by placing the original black and yellow in Dimebag's Kiss Casket.
