I've been working on this thing and this is where it's at right now..

Updated pic...

Destroyer_Fixed_BlueBackground_Sharp_iii.jpg

-New tuners
-Non recessed Floyd Rose 'special' bridge to replace the rusty old Ibby one..
-New routes (and a fine touch up paint job ) for 2 singles + pup rings....so it goes from HH to HSS...
-Dimarzio Chopper (n), Fast track 1 (m) & X2N (b) pup's

I just need to change a few other things (switches/knobs/jack/locking nut), wire it all up with a mini switch for coil tapping & a killswitch.. and It's good to go :)

Got rid of the black hardware for chrome, just need to change the pick guard now, either tortoise or white pearloid. If pearloid I am not sure what to to do with the knobs? Guitar only cost NZ$125, phat cat was the most expensive part. Sounds amazing though

Flamingo - No name guitar, blender pot makes the bridge sound like a tele.

I think my idea of a "beater", and many of you guys, is completely different. Many of the axe's in this thread look like nice players. :scratchch

Sweet geets errbody.

Oddly none of mine qualify as beaters. They're all in pretty good shape.

This headless used to be Strat shaped but, as I was travelling a lot with it, I took a bandsaw to it: a bit of minimising. The bridge position humbucker was replaced with a Hot-Rails and a Little 59 glued together with switching that can put them in or out of phase with each other or the 2 single coils. Thinking of a bridge transducer to get acoustic tones in the mix too. Got to work that out yet.View attachment 44765
