Slight modification... The JB sounds quite nice in a Schechter or a PRS SE, both of which are thin-bodied mahogany. Well, nato, actually. Too bright for my tastes, perhaps, but that's a different matter entirely.

I was so happy to read that.

I was finding it strange how people were bashing the JB in Mahogany bodies, whereas I have always thought it sounded amazing in my Schecter s-1 elite. But like you said about most schecters, especially mine, they are much thinner.

They'll always be some players that like JB's in mahogany, but more often you hear complaints about that wood bringing out the 'spike' and a loose low end. In mahogany, the Custom series seems to make more forum members happy.
