Another Locking Tremolo Thread

Has anyone any experience with that Zero Resistance locking tremolo by Ibanez?

Is it durable enough (like for example an OFR)? What about its operation? Is it smooth and accurate as they say?

And another question: That Zero Point System seems useful. Can it be ordered separately? I know it can be ordered with a ZR tremolo but what about separately?

Thanks guys!

While I have no personal experience with it, those who have seem to love it. I have not read anything bad about over on jemsite.

I've been looking at the ZR tremolo... unfortunately the local Sam Ash and GC's don't keep trem arms in them because people *steal* them... sigh, so I'm not sure how well they actually work.

That said, I'm thinking about putting one into a future Warmoth build.
I'm liking the styling and hey, it's cool new Japanese tech.

That Zero Point System sounds a bit like the Tremol-no to me.
Also, something I've looked into recently.

Supposedly you can buy these from Ibanezrules.com for $280/300 depending on color.

Some folks were complaining about early versions having issues with the tone arm mechanism... apparently adding threadlock to a nut in the trem cavity solves the problem.

Thanks for all the info MM! Very useful. I'm very close to change my mind towards this one for my next guitar.

Yes. The styling is very cool. If you take a look in the black one, combining some chrome parts...

Tech-wise, I found some pictures and they seem to use bearing units to eliminate friction. Cool mechanical stuff there, certainly.

I can vouch for Rich @ Ibanezrules. He is an encyclopedia of all things Ibanez and a top notch dealer.
