Roland JC-20 for practice and recording. 100 bucks.Too much ? Too cheap? Just right?

P.S The distortion when maxed out is garbage, a little bit thickens the tone but if you wanna use pedals turn off the distortion fully. Doesn't sound too bad with high gain distortion (ive played worse)

If it makes you feel any better, the distortion on the full size JC120 is also garbage.

But if you run a good distortion through the clean channel you can get a fantastic death metal tone.

Yeah with the clean tone I can see a lot of distortion and modulation working well. I ran a vox satchurator just to check it and it sounded good, but just a teenie bit harsh. But that harshness will definitely get lost in a live situation

The pawn shop I frequent has a JC-120 and a Randall Lynch Box 50. It's times like this that its probably a good thing I don't have a credit card.
