Im being very picky and sorry for all the questions, just want to make the right choice and still not sure which pickups to go with for 70s strat, was gonna do QPers in the neck/Bridge spots but worried the neck would be to Bassy sounding.Surfers were in the running to.
The Audio sample for the QP's were really bassy sounding in neck spot, any
one else using these have that problem?
Anyone happy with them,ideas,suggestion,reccomendations,etc,,,,,
Thanx alot.

Re: Another Quarter Pound Question,sorry!!!

The QP's are definitely bottom-heavy, with an attenuated high-end. But I still love 'em. The solution, if you can find a place for a switch, is to get them "tapped". Then they morph back into chimey, jangley singles. Best of both worlds. ;)

How does that work with the switch and wiring?
Also would different caps or pots do the trick?
Thanx

Re: Another Quarter Pound Question,sorry!!!

There's several different ways to do the switching. You can use a push/pull pot to select either hot wire. You can use a SPST switch to connect the red hot to the "main" hot, or as SD shows, you can switch between the red hot and white hot. Its pretty simple and versatile.

I use the push/pull myself because I switch two at the same time.

Yes, it's really bassy.
I liked the QP at the bridge pos., but not at the neck pos.
That was the reason why i sold the set again.
