Answer this quickly please need help.

I have to go on a plane for like 24 hours in all and I am bringing my jackson dinky. So I am told i should detune the strings so the change of air pressure won't effect my neck, is this true? If so I detuned it so its impossible to play doing so the floyd rose went down, is that normal? So the strings touched the neck pickup when the floyd rose went down so i lossened the strings more and thats how I'm going to leave it. Is that okay????



Is all this normal?????



A guy at guitar center told me to detune them.
