Anther thread about CAPS

Re: Anther thread about CAPS

Okay so I'm just now getting back to you guys, "The old-style large format capacitors have a much more complex set of electrical properties than just a straight, constant capacitance." Yes that's what they are, first I've been having this problem for a while, so I got a multimeter with resistance settings on itut youtube has limited info on this subject. Does it have to be in a circuit to test it? any help on this would be golden also they read "SPRAGUE 0.47 MFD 100VDC Made In USA" paper in wax they are the red ones, some are white,IMG_20140718_221840.jpgIMG_20140718_221807.jpg but They sound amazing, and I thought it was 0.047 caps that were the normal for strats? and not 0.47

You can use a cheapish multimeter with basic capacitance reading to see whether it is 470 of 47 nF. On a plain capacitor, not in a circuit.

There's numbers bouncing around all over the place on this multimeter, aye aye aye, The problem is every video of it, is with 100 different multimeters so I can't see wtf im doing
