Perhaps an oddball inquiry but I have a Pearly Gates pickup in white that I would like to give a more antique-looking patena. Has anyone ever heard of this being attempted before?

It could probably be done rather easily with a bit of light, extremely fine grain sanding and coffee grounds if you want a yellowed look. If you mint green or parchment, there are several ways to get those colors as well, it's worth as Google search.
