Antiquity II Neck Pu In Tele Neck Position

I Have A 90 Mim Tele. My Local Shop Has An Antiquity II Neck Pu For About 100usd. I Want To Have It Put Into My Tele And Add A 5 Way Selecter Switch. This Is Similar To A Set Up A Friend Has In His Mim Tele But It Came Stock With The Fender Hb In The Neck And The 5way Switch. We Both Play Slide And He Has Some Evil Tone. Is This A Sensilble/ Feasable/compatible Set Up?

Hi WREKLAW, welcome to the forum. Yes, it's a good setup. But it will be different than your friend's; being that he has a humbucker in the neck. The Antiquities are among the best pickups made. You might want to go into a little more detail concerning your pickup setup; ie, what's in the bridge position and what wiring schemes are you most interested in.

Butch, thanks for the reply. The Antiquity II pick up I'm looking at is a humbucker. Everything else on my Tele is stock. I also plan to change the top loader stock bridge to a thru the body brass saddle vintage model. Any thoughts?

Ahhhh.....

Now I see. I think you will have a Blues monster that will be great for slide work. Converting to a string-thru design will be great as well. Any thoughts on replacing the bridge pickup? I guarantee that once you install that Ant II in the neck, you will want to trash your stock bridge pickup....
